No, I sold it because I needed the money to buy the 6point.. ...which is a great bike, but I've always loved the Sunday, so I bought myself another! Shit happens.. :p It's a DSP Dueler that sits on there! Stoked to give it a try!

Well, I haven't tried the RP23 too much, but if you are planning on putting it on a freeride/dh bike, I would definitely choose the Monarch Plus rather than the RP23 for that purpose. Reason: it has the same rebound and spring technology used on the Vivid Air-shock, and it is made for that kind of riding, whilst the RP23 is more of a xc/trail shock.

Cheers! Love the Monarch Plus, the best air shock I've ever ridden! It just works perfectly! But if you are in the market for a Monarch Plus, keep in mind that they have got different compression and rebound tunes to suit individual frames' leverage ratio.

I never got the chance to try the Elka-cartridge, so I don't know. I got a pretty amazing deal on a new RC2-cartridge from Fox, so I didn't buy the Elka.

Thanks! Super stoked right now! Big Grin Yeah, it's a Talas 180! Went for the 34T ring, feels perfect so far! Didn't have time for more than two short rides today, but the bike feels absolutely perfect! Pedals like a champ, and feels very smooth and supple on the rough stuff I've tested it on so far! Weighs just about 30lbs now. Smile

Yeah, heard the same thing about the newer Avids.. Sweet! But isn't the standard Code a bit more powerful, or is the only difference the pad contact adjustment?

Haha, well, I think the new lever just looks really weird :p And I'm not too keen on the chrome plated finish.. Well, well, it's a good thing that a man got options, haha! Big Grin

Yeah, I know! Codes are killer brakes! Big Grin It's really awesome just having to 'tap' the lever gently to get the deceleration going, and not having to squeeze the living sh*t out of your fingers to feel some minor effect of the brakes(haha)! Is it the standard Codes with pad contact adjustment, or the Code Rs?

Haha, yeah! Wondering about going for a 32T or a 34T chainring up front, just to make the pedaling bit somewhat easier.. :p

Yeah! My original plan was black/blue Avid X.0's, but a friend told me that they didn't take too much abuse, so he recommended the new Shimano XTR Trail brake, but I hate the way they look :p I love the way the Formula The Ones looks and feels from the Sunday, and a friend of mine have a 2011 GT Fury with the blue The Ones, and he would rather have Saints, so I'll probably buy the blue The Ones from him! We'll see!

Going for a titanium spring on the shock as well, so I hope I'll get it down to 30lbs flat!

Looking forward to this as well, soo stoked right now!!

(Oct 24, 2011 at 14:09) (Below Threshold) show comment
 Yeah!

Drivetrain: Going for a black/blue SRAM X.0 rear derailleur, black/blue SRAM X.0 10spd shifter, Shimano XT 36-11 cassette and a Shimano XTR 10-spd chain!

Brakes: I'll might be able to get my hands on a pair of these: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5565527/ Big Grin with 203mm rotor up front, and a 185mm rotor at the back..

Seatpost: well, at first I'm going to go with a regular Thomson Elite Inline seatpost with a Hope QR, but if I find it necessary, I'm going to switch to a Rockshox Reverb post Wink

Yeah, pretty much a do-it-all bike! I got a bit tired of the Sunday just being a pure downhill bike, so it will be sweet with a more versatile bike!

Ja, sykt lett! Var bare å trekke den Stans Yellow-tape'n rundt felgringen, sette på ventil, sette på dekket, helle en sånn miniflaske med guffe oppi, kjøre på med luft, og det var tett på første forsøk! Sykt happy!

Not entirely sure about the complete spec yet, but here's a little taste of some of the parts that I'm going to run:

-Fox 36 Talas 180-140 Fit RC2 fork
-Fox DHX 5.0 (as pictured) with a titanium spring
-Stans ZTR Flow rims, Hope Pro 2 hubs, DT Competition or Sapim CX-Ray spokes
-Rockshox Reverb seat post
-A double chainset with a chainguide
-9 or 10 speed drivetrain
-Powerful, yet light and good looking brakes.. thinking about Formula R1?
-Tubeless tyres

I'm not sure exactly how "high-end" the overall spec is going to be.. I've got to be able to afford it as well.. Razz But the overall idea is a pretty great spec, quality, built-to-last parts! Maybe a Shimano Deore XT groupset? I've seen the complete groupset for a pretty nice price at ebay! Well, time and money will show how this badboy will turn out! Smile

Yeah, it's the SS Mk I Wink Well, I've planned to paint it in a color called "Phantom Black Pearl", which is a very deep, shiny black color with "pearl effect-pigments" in it! I'm not that much of a fan for the whole raw look :p

Looking forward to it!
